CUAHSI builds bridges across institutions by connecting faculty with opportunities to advance new ideas and technologies. CUAHSI provides resources for both faculty and their students including data publishing and services, workshops, and grant opportunities. In particular, CUAHSI provides venues for faculty to share their expertise and network with colleagues.
The CUAHSI Guest Lecturer Database connects scientists and lecturers with virtual classrooms across the country. Search the database, or volunteer to give a lecture of your own!
The CVU is a semester-long series of 1-credit, 4-week modules taught by faculty in participating universities. Faculty teach one-credit modules on highly specialized topics that are often too specific to be full-credit classes. Participating faculty teach their 4-week module and serve as instructor-of-record for students from their university who enroll in CVU.
Although faculty need to discuss arrangements with their department administration, CVU was designed to count toward the instructor's teaching load. Students gain access to material that might not be offered at their home institution.
Are you interested in sharing your expertise, methods and perspectives with the water science community? CUAHSI can help!
CUAHSI Workshops, held virtually or in person, provide a unique opportunity to teach specialized courses that are generally not offered by educational institutions. Because we have an expansive and diverse network of constituents, our workshops have gained in popularity and tend to fill quickly.
If you would like to discuss your idea for a workshop prior to submitting a proposal, or have any questions please contact jmasterman@cuahsi.org.
Workshop proposals are generally reviewed in the fall, for more information and this year's submission deadline, click the link below.
CUAHSI’s Cyberseminar program enables researchers to circulate their work to the broader community by providing an inexpensive and convenient alternative to in person meetings.
Each cyberseminar series features presentations from experts on a new or timely topic, and all cyberseminars are free and open to the public. Additionally, every presentation is recorded and archived for later viewing.
Have a topic that you want to share with the community? Consider hosting a Cyberseminar!
If you have a water science related topic that you would like to build a cyberseminar series around, please contact us!
The cybserseminars are successful because of the dedicated hosts that bring fresh new topics and perspectives to each series. Cyberseminar hosts are responsible for defining the series theme and inviting speakers to participate – CUAHSI will handle the logistical coordination and marketing!

Serve on a Standing Committee
Standing committees are composed of members from the broad community of hydrologic sciences and provide advice and direction on CUAHSI programs and initiatives. Committee members are drawn from both member and non-member institutions. Do you have interest in these areas? If so, consider volunteering for a position on a standing committee.
