Current projects in Ebrahimian’s lab are federally funded and focus on areas including watershed modeling (hydrology and water quality), urban flood and pollution control using gray and green stormwater infrastructure, and identification, characterization, and fate of emerging and traditional pollutants in stormwater (e.g., microplastics, sediments, and nutrients) from urban coastal watersheds. Research methods include process-based hydrologic and water quality modeling, AI (machine learning and deep learning) modeling, sensor-based field monitoring, and laboratory experiments.
𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
- Demonstrated experience in one or both of the following research areas:
1. Watershed-scale hydrologic modeling, preferably with considering surface water and groundwater interactions.
2. Image processing and AI (deep learning/machine learning) applications in water resources or geo-environmental problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- PhD in relevant engineering or science fields
- Applicants must be located in and authorized to work in the United States.
𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
