Series: Synthesis Workshop Series: Perceptual Models of Dominant Hydrologic Processes Across North America
September 3 - November 12, 2024
Join us as we work towards defining perceptual models of hydrologic behaviors across large geographic domains!
This unique webinar series will feature a morning and an afternoon session, each about 3 hours long. The morning will feature 3 - 4 invited speakers who will present keynotes on perceptual models of hydrologic processes in their region of expertise, followed by a Q&A. Following a 1 hour break, in the afternoon session, we invite interested attendees to participate in a synthesis discussion to delineate sub-regions and representative perceptual models.
This series kicks off a community-driven synthesis effort to address a large-scale hydrologic modeling challenge: creating a comprehensive overview of how dominant hydrologic processes vary across large geographic domains. These virtual workshops, open to the public, bring together water science experts working in various regions across North America. These workshops cover five main large regions: (1) the Atlantic drainage area in the southeast, (2) the interior agricultural region, (3) the Pacific drainage area in the west, (4) the northern cold regions, and (5) the tropical islands.
All sessions will take place from 10:00 - 1:00 pm ET and 2:00 - 5:00 pm ET
- September 3: Eastern Coastal Region
- September 24: Western Mountain and Coastal Region
- October 1: Cold Region
